Grace Theological Seminary and Grace College Unveil New Institutional Branding

Written By Grace Theological Seminary

Grace College unveiled its new institutional branding for Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary on Monday, Aug. 12, at the Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony.

“The unveiling of Grace’s new brand comes at a crucial point for the institution,” said Dr. Drew Flamm, president of Grace. “Grace College is anticipating a record number of incoming students this year, and Grace Theological Seminary is currently the third-fastest growing seminary in the nation. It’s an exciting time to be a Grace Lancer.”

At the ribbon cutting, the Grace College Marketing Department unveiled two new logos: one for the college and one for the seminary. Grace College is adopting the Grace Athletics “G” as its primary logo.

“Our athletics program has had tremendous success the last five years, earning 18 national titles,” said Matt Metzger, chief marketing officer at Grace. “We want to leverage and expand upon that brand familiarity. Our ultimate goal is for the Grace ‘G’ to be recognized around the globe.”

The new Grace Theological Seminary logo mirrors the shield within the institutional seal and contains icons of a cross, a crown, a candelabra and a Bible opened to Ephesians 2:8-10, Grace’s institutional verses.

“The decision to implement two distinct logos for the college and seminary is for the sake of clarity,” said Flamm. “We want our prospective students to understand what we have to offer, whether it’s a traditional student, an online student or a seminary student. The new logos give the college and the seminary distinct marks to build their own brand recognition, while remaining unified in mission and values under one Grace.”

The school also rolled out its new slogan: “Created for More.” This was drawn from Ephesians 2:10, which states, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,” and Ephesians 3:20, which says God is “able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think.”

“The slogan ‘Created for More’ reminds students they are created by a God who knows and loves them deeply,” said Flamm. “In their studies at Grace, they’ll find more beauty, meaning and purpose when they acknowledge it all points back to Him.”

Grace’s brand refresh comes on the heels of a $27 million grant through Lilly Endowment’s College and Community Collaboration Initiative. To learn more about Grace College, visit www.grace.edu.
